Laurence Maillart, founder of the Mediaverbe agency :

Having specialised in European Union affairs for eight years within a regional authority, Laurence Maillart joined a subsidiary of the French state bank La Caisse des Depots, in order to launch a new website dedicated to EU topics. The web site, Mercure Europe, was produced in partnership with France’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the European Commission.

In 2002, she helped design the editorial content for a new Caisse des Depots website, Localtis, a source of daily news and legal information for local authorities.
As the editor of several sections of the site (Europe, the economy, social issues, liaison between local authorities, communications and regional development), her writing and editing skills were key to the success of a site providing 60-70 new articles a day.

Localtis was provided as an intranet/extranet resource to 260 local authorities in France between 2002 and 2006.
